OVERVIEW

The Hindi Department at Nirmala Convent Higher Secondary School is committed to promoting the national language and preserving India's rich literary and cultural heritage. The department emphasizes the development of language proficiency, literary appreciation, and creative expression through structured academic programs and interactive co-curricular activities..

ADMISSION CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY

For Grades 6-8, students must have successfully completed the preceding grade level and demonstrate a basic understanding of the Hindi language. For Grades 9-12, candidates must have completed Grade 8 or its equivalent, with a focus on proficiency in Hindi, including reading, writing, and comprehension skills. Transfer students are admitted based on their academic records and may be evaluated on their Hindi language proficiency, if necessary.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Hindi Olympiad: Students have excelled in national and international Hindi Olympiads, winning gold and silver medals in multiple editions.
  • Inter-School Debates and Elocution: Students have won several inter-school Hindi debate and elocution competitions, showcasing their eloquence and public speaking abilities.
  • Cultural and Literary Contributions: Students directed and performed award-winning skits and plays in Hindi at district-level cultural festivals.
  • Publication of Hindi Creative Works: The department successfully published a Hindi magazine comprising poems, short stories, and articles written by students and faculty members. Articles authored by students have been featured in local and state publications.
  • Hindi Divas Excellence: Annual Hindi Divas celebrations have set a benchmark for cultural programs, including plays, poetry sessions, and speeches, earning praise from eminent Hindi scholars and guests.
